What do we mean when we say that our soaps are all natural?

When we say that our soaps are natural we refer to the fact that our products are safe and nontoxic, free from artificial colors, fragrances, hardeners, preservatives, detergents and alcohols.

Do our soaps contain essential oils or fragrance oils?

We choose only to use natural essential oils in our soaps and no synthetic fragrance oils. Basically, essential oils derived from plant parts whereas fragrance oils are blended with synthetic compounds or blended with an essential oil that may have been diluted with a carrier.

As all the scents are natural, they might not be as strong and develop when in use and over time the scent will fade.

NOTE: We advise people with seriously sensitive skin to avoid products containing essential oils (as they naturally contain allergens, you might prefer to stay away from them).

I have sensitive skin and can't use most soaps. Will I be able to use yours?

Yes, most likely you will be able to use all our soaps because they are incredibly gentle and contain relatively small amounts of essential oils. Basically all of our soaps are ideal for sensitive skin, but if you do happen to have hypersensitive skin, certain allergies or prefer to avoid any form of scent, we recommend you try our unscented bar with calming calendula and avocado oil. If there are no preservatives, will my soap go bad?

As with the nature of all natural materials, plant oil will become rancid with time. To prolong shelf life of your soap, you should keep the soap stored away from light, heat and humidity. With proper storage our soaps can be kept for over a year.

How should I store my soaps?

Soaps should be stored in a cool, dark and dry location until being used. When using the soap, make sure to properly drain it and store it in a way so that it can breathe and get plenty of air flow from all sides in between uses. In this way you can prevent it from becoming mushy.

Is natural deodorant better for you?

Natural deodorant is better for you because it doesn’t interfere with your body’s natural sweating process. An antiperspirant plugs your pores, preventing sweat from leaving your body. Sweat serves a purpose, so why would you want to stop your body from doing it? Natural deodorant doesn’t keep your body from sweating; instead, it absorbs the moisture once it’s released and controls odor-causing bacteria.

What happens when you stop using deodorant with aluminum?

Stink happens, not to mention sweat. A lot of sweat! This is why so many people call it quits with natural deodorant. When you stop using antiperspirant, your body needs some time to find balance.

Why do my armpits smell after switching to natural deodorant?

If you’ve just switched, it’s likely because you’re going through that initial detox period. Stick with it! If you’ve been using it for a while and you’re feeling not-so-fresh a few hours after applying it, you may need to reapply it at some point in the day.

Does natural deodorant take a while to work?

Yes and no. Your deodorant will start working right away, but it’s no match for your body’s sweat and stank as it goes through that initial detox period. Rest assured, after a few weeks, it will get better. It’s even common to sweat less once you get used to natural deodorant.

Will there be some irritation transitions from chemical deodorant to all natural deodorant?

As your armpits unclog and detox, your sweat may temporarily become more acidic. As a result, irritation can sometimes occur during the transition to a natural deodorant.

Where do Essential Oils Come from?

Essential oils come from plants. Essential oils are an oil which has typically been distilled…usually using steam or water from the bark, leaves, flower, roots, or other parts of the plant. They are highly concentrated oils that contain both the aromatic and chemical properties of the plant.
